“Ho, Ho, Ho” is very apt as we enter the Christmas season. We could all do with laughing more and enjoying each other’s company so here’s to Christmas cheer and good tidings of joy from Jumpstone over the festive period.
I want to sincerely thank all of those who’ve worked with me this year. It’s been a challenging and eventful year for so many of us, but together we’ve made real progress, gained valuable insights and evolved your leadership. Here’s to 2025 and the exciting developments ahead with innovative new workshops already booked in London and Madrid, new coaching programmes and Jumpstone’s very own new PictureSpark App.
“It’s not what you look at that matters, it’s what you see”
Henry Thoreau
Most of you will know my neuroscience imagery technique called PictureSpark, as demonstrated by Gluhwein and Eggnog above! For those who don’t, PictureSpark is a powerful, fun and effective visual tool that brings true clarity. Research in cognitive psychology shows us that images can strengthen communication by connecting to our emotions, knowledge, experiences, and thinking to help us convey vast amounts of information in a short amount of time.
It has proved very powerful in swiftly providing clarity and resolution to many of my clients’ challenges, and I’m very excited to share that I’ve been developing an app that can be accessible to all. Watch this space in 2025!
Taking inspiration from Santa, I’d like to leave you with some thoughtful gifts of leadership:
Wisdom: Embrace resilience and stay positive in the face of adversity.
Leaders face challenges, but like the song suggests, sometimes it’s best to “let it snow”—embracing difficult situations with a positive attitude. Resilience, like enjoying the snowfall, can turn challenges into opportunities for growth.
Wisdom: Adaptability and creativity are essential leadership traits.
Frosty is made of snow but brings warmth and joy to the world. A leader must be flexible, embracing creativity and new ideas while remaining grounded in their values. Just like Frosty, great leaders can adapt to different environments and situations.
Wisdom: Leaders inspire and elevate others.
Like the herald angels spreading a message of peace, a leader’s role is to inspire their team, lift them up, and spread positivity. Great leadership is about encouraging others to rise to their full potential.
These Christmas songs can offer timeless lessons in leadership, blending compassion, resilience, and creativity with the power of positive relationships and purpose-driven action.
Lastly if you’re looking for a Christmas stocking idea, then check out my book Inner Compass – available on Amazon. Just imagine, you could be the catalyst to helping a loved one or a friend find their true north in 2025!
Best wishes
Matt Guiver
